When crude oil is refined under high temperature and high pressure, chlorine ions contained in crude oil react with ammonia ions to form ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) precipitates.
These precipitates are attached to pipes and other equipment to prevent the flow in the process, when in contact with water, create strong acidic conditions at the bottom of the precipitates and act as a major cause of equipment corrosion.

Process Defoamer effectively removes foams from many processes.
The defoamer mainly consists of surfactant, is divided into silicone-based and non-silicone-based depending on the components and removes foams effectively though the foam destruction function that weakens the tension on the surface of the foam in contact to foams already created and the foam suppression function that suppresses the occurrence of additional foams.

Process Detergent
Difficulties arise during equipment maintenance due to H2S and volatile substances generated by hydrocarbons in refineries.
In addition, as the iron sulfide generated in the process is highly reactive, if it comes into contact with oxygen and undergoes a rapid oxidation reaction on the surface in case of opening the equipment, a large number of molecules rub against each other and spontaneous ignition may occur, which may cause a major accident in the process.
To solve this problem, process detergent is injected before opening of the equipment to remove and stabilize the components that cause various problems to ensure equipment maintenance may be performed safely.
